Censorship orgy and brainwashing on YouTube

After Facebook censored and deleted massive amounts of posts by conservative users before, during and after the US presidential election, YouTube is now following suit. Videos containing reports of election fraud and US presidential election errors will be rigorously deleted.

The video platform YouTube is owned by Google. Google, in turn, has been part of Alphabet, a listed US holding company, since its restructuring in October 2015. Immediately after the restructuring, Alphabet was considered the most valuable company in the world, but has since been replaced by Apple. Nevertheless, the Alphabet network has a dominant position in the market, which in some areas – such as the distribution of videos (YouTube) – actually resembles a monopoly.

Alphabet is now exploiting this quasi-monopoly to hold an orgy of censorship. All videos containing reports of election fraud and errors related to the past US presidential election will be rigorously deleted. Unlike Zuckerberg’s Facebook, YouTube / Alphabet doesn’t do this quietly and secretly in a quiet little room, but explicitly shows off its censorship.

“We will begin by removing any content uploaded today (or later) that claims widespread fraud or error changed the outcome of the 2020 US presidential election in line with our approach to historic US presidential elections. For example, we will be removing videos claiming that a presidential candidate won the election due to widespread software problems or counting errors. We will start enforcing this policy today and increase it in the coming weeks.”

Critical contributions are deleted in order to only publish the ideologically acceptable and desired contributions. It’s called brainwashing. In totalitarian states like North Korea or the People’s Republic of China, this is part of everyday life. Facebook had long since followed in line, now YouTube (or Alphabet) is following.
