President Biden has publicly declared his opposition to delivering F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. In a recent interview in Washington, Biden stated his stance on the matter with a simple “no.” Despite this, the Ukrainian government continues to request military support from its Western allies, including the supply of fighter jets.
Biden’s Deputy National Security Advisor, Jon Finer, did not entirely rule out the delivery of F-16 jets in a previous interview. The US remains open to considering the needs of Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia, but will assess each weapons system on a case by case basis. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, however, has consistently rejected the notion of providing combat aircraft to Ukraine and has warned of a potential arms race in the region.
Last week, Biden and Scholz agreed to provide Ukraine with heavy Leopard 2 and Abrams main battle tanks after some hesitation. In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for fighter jets from his country’s allies.
In addition to his statement on F-16 deliveries, Biden announced plans to visit Poland, which borders Ukraine, but did not specify a date. There have been rumors that Biden may visit Europe on February 24, 2022 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine.

I can’t help but think that this is all just for show. Biden may say that he’s against arming Ukraine, but behind closed doors, he’s secretly preparing to arm them even further. The West has no business interfering in foreign wars like the one between Ukraine and Russia, but it seems like that’s exactly what Biden is trying to do.
I can’t help but think that this is all just a ploy to draw us into a war. Biden may say that he wants peace and stability, but his actions speak louder than his words. By arming Ukraine, he’s only going to escalate the conflict and put us all in danger. I can’t help but wonder what the real motivations behind Biden’s actions are. Is he just trying to win public favour or is he trying to push us all into a war? Either way, it’s a dangerous game that he’s playing.
